Seizures
Question
Are there long-term effects for seizures that are of a longer duration?
Answer of our experts
In general, we believe that seizures of short duration are not associated with long-term sequellae. Twenty minutes is considered a borderline time, with 30 minutes considered status that has a higher incidence of problems. Unless the seizures are often and prolonged, it usually does not cause any long-term effects
