Day care and housing for adults

Almost all people with MSS live in assisted living once they reach adulthood. Sometimes the transition is small because they grew up in assisted living as children. For others, the transition is slightly larger if they spent most of their childhood living at home. Several therapists attached to an institution for mentally disabled adults prepare the young person for the transition to the new living environment.
